Jackson Xu
Nanooooh
Jackson Xu (b. 1998) is an artist using code to create dynamic images, experimental visuals, and interactive installations. His practice explores invisible forces within living systems — using computation, real-time simulation, and photogrammetry to render the imperceptible tangible. He is drawn to the boundary between nature and technology, where digital matter takes on organic qualities.
His work spans interactive installations and real-time visual systems, in collaboration with brands, cultural institutions, and live performance contexts. Clients include LEGO, Asics, and Burberry. His work has been presented at SAT Festival Montréal, the 10th Shenzhen-Hong Kong Biennale of Urbanism∙Architecture, Tianjin K11 Select, Shanghai Zhengho Art Museum, and various exhibitions across China. He lives and works in Shanghai, China.
Jackson Xu, working under the name Nanooooh, is a digital artist whose practice focuses on nature, plants, and invisible systems. He scans real-world botanical forms, captures overlooked details, and transforms them into digital works that amplify energy flow and communication networks in nature.
His work combines art and technology to create moments of calm and reflection, inviting audiences to reconsider the quiet beauty of everyday plants and the hidden relationships between humans and the natural world.
